Wine made from D.O.P. Pago de Otazu certified vineyards. The grapes are harvested by hand, ensuring a meticulous selection of the best quality. After the harvest, the wine undergoes a complete vinification process in 225-liter French oak barrels. This method brings complexity and unique nuances to the wine. In addition, malolactic fermentation is carried out in the same barrels, a process during which the lees are gently stirred twice a week to enrich the wine with deeper flavors and a smoother texture.
David Magán (Madrid, 1979) was trained at the Escuela de Artes y Oficios de Madrid. His work is developed within the field of sculpture and installation, and explores its possibilities in relation to the space in which it is located. His pieces are presented as geometric modules, conceived in glass or methacrylate, which flood the space in which they are located with color when light penetrates their surface. Far from being simple aesthetic objects, the works created by David Magán are dynamic elements that transform themselves depending on the place where the spectator is and the constructive possibilities of the piece.
“The great challenge I faced with this project was how to bring the color of the material of the deconstructed barrels (both the exterior part of the wood and the part impregnated with the color of the wine) into the space and, at the same time, produce a work that was within my language and that worked on my main plastic concerns: modularity, chromatic fusion, light. I wanted to build in space through the plane and actively involve the viewer in the understanding and discovery of the work. The result I have arrived at is the creation of a kind of virtual sculpture floating in the center of a 3 x 3 meter screen. A work of light that changes with the position of the viewer and that works on the limits of drawing and sculpture, of the physical and the ethereal”.
